This course introduces new embroiders to Melco DesignShop software and AMAYA machine operations.  This comprehensive training is taught by instructors with decades of valuable experience in the embroidery industry.  It is a hands on program designed to teach basic embroidery applications, machine operations, and DS lettering and editing operations (DesignShop & AMAYA course outlines).   After the fundamentals coures is complete, you will need to be involved in the embroidery industry for 1 - 2 years before eligibility for Level I Certification. 


  • Knowledge of basic Windows operations
  • Basic computer knowledge (common application software features, operating system features, an loading software)
  • Own current Melco equipment (software and hardware)
  • It is highly recommended that students own an up-to-date laptop computer that meets the current system requirements
